Who We Are

The MyMayu team has 35+ years of skills in the following areas: legal, retail management and sales, design, computer, marketing, people and human resources and photography skills.

Suzanne Solsona

Founder & CEO
For the past 6 years Suzanne has been a full-time stay at home mother (and a busy entrepreneur) and loves to be outside with their two boys. She grew up camping and hiking in the Canadian Rockies and knows the value of good outdoor gear for herself as well as her children. From experience, she knows the importance of nature play and, as a mother has witnessed kids "climbing the walls" on a rainy day. No wonder she is on a mission to get kids outside (it might just save the Sanity of a few mamas!)  Suzanne has an LLB and graduated with distinction with a BA in Communications and Spanish. She took small business and entrepreneurship classes at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Canada. Suzanne practiced law as a civil litigator for almost 8 years in Canada and is versed in commercial and corporate law, employment law and insurance law. Suzanne is functional in Spanish- written and spoken.

Javier Solsona

Founder & Chief Design Officer
Javier has a BSC in Computer Sciences and has over 10 years experience in the gaming and feature animation industries. He has significant artistic and graphic design skills for marketing materials and is capable of designing and managing the company website. Javier has also held managerial/lead positions in his field and thus has networking, negotiation and management skills. Javier's first language is Spanish.  He grew up in Patagonia and is active in outdoor sports. At his core, he is a gear hound.

Michele Coddington

Sales & Marketing
Michele graduated with distinction with a BA in English from the University of Lethbridge. She is a Retail Executive with 20 years of experience with Smith & Hawken, Illuminations and Title 9. Michele’s retail experience has instilled a variety of assets vital to MyMayu: people skills, negotiation skills and business skills such as inventory management and persistent attention to customers. Her love of the outdoors and penchant for quality products that are ergonomic and functional yet aesthetically pleasing are also valuable to MyMayu’s vision and goals.
