Happy Valentine's Day!
It might already be dark where you are... but we thought we would share three of our favourite outdoor activities to get your heart pumping and fall in love with nature.
Go on a scavenger hunt and look for things of a particular shape or colour. Since today is traditionally a day filled with hearts, why not look for things that are shaped like a heart? This rock is one of my most treasured nature finds. Share your finds with us!
2. Get Moving
Get that heart pumping! Play tag, go for a hike, ride a bike... Do whatever your heart desires. Move that body! Even better if it is outside! Fresh air and movement (even for 10 minutes) increases our natural endorphins (those feel-good chemicals in your body) and who doesn't want that? Feeling great is good for you.
3. Hug a Tree
Seriously. Have you ever hugged a tree or laid your body down on the grass (no blanket required) and felt the earth's energy? Breathe in. Breathe out. Connecting with nature in this way awakens new senses and helps us to truly appreciate the beauty of the outdoors.
So, why not get your boots on and go outside- your heart will love you for it.
